The fourth net EP from Implosion Quintet celebrating the release of the
debut album 'The Future Sound of Yesterday'on Cookshop Records in
June 2009. 'I don't hear a single' comprises works written shortly
after the completion of the album and further refinement of both
the IQ sound and song structure.

"Werks" was originally a CDR collection of all the IQ stuff up to 2005
- the first album "Lotek beats for the impatient", and the subsequent
eps "Spidergram" and "Problematika". These tunes
were written under various guises and are pretty rough round the
edges, but chart the development from hiphopular tinkerings to the
current day IQ. The total collapse of the previous studio had forced
a time out to consider where to take things, and Werks was an effectively
a line in the sand at the start of a new phase.

Implosion Quintet's 3rd net release to date sees a move into heavier,
looser territory, embracing elements of tango, post-rock and shonky
jazz.
